One of the most popular materials for foam inserts is Polyethylene (PE), more specifically Polyethylene sheets. This technical foam is manufactured based on various chemicals and physical properties, resulting in appropriate parameters. Polyethylene foam sheets are used to cut out various elements and profiles to protect the packaged product during transportation or storage.
Polyethylene sheets are formed by thermally bonding sheets of polyethylene foam of a specific, uniform density. This can be used to produce sheets 10-100 mm thick, usually with sheet dimensions 1200×2000 mm. Polyethylene foam is also available in different densities. The most common density of polyethylene foam sheet is 27kg/m3.
